OHHHH hey, Nepal! Guess what? I’m comin’ for ya! =) I’ve been dragging my feet and debating for months about going to Nepal..mostly because I haven’t had time off and no else has seemed that interested in going. And during winter break most people in our Fulbright group used their 14 out of country days as allotted to us by Fulbright. Since I spent my winter break travelling in India, I still have plenty out of country days. The other night, on a sort of whim, I booked a flight to visit Nepal for about 4 days. Obviously, not enough time, but time is running out on my stay here in India and the crazy cheap flight & visa were just too tempting to pass by. I’ll be going it alone which I hope no one (mother, I’m talking to you) freaks out about. I have several contacts in Nepal from Fulbright and a friend from college living in Kathmandu. I’m staying at a highly rated hostel in the bustling area—and I have to say that I am very excited for my (technically) first solo international trip! YEEHAW!*EDIT*- JK! a fellow ETA, Nick, will be joining me. Breathe easy everyone, I’ll have male protection!travel-the-earth:
