Now, if you know me, then you know that I kind of sort of hate my hair most of the time—and straighten the crap out of it OFTEN. In fact, there was a time where people thought I had naturally straight hair. Muaahah,

But I have to admit that, occasionally, even I am into my own hair. Like today! The curls are—what do you know—actually defined! And it smells awesome. I have a bad habit of smelling my own hair..a lot. There’s plenty of photo evidence of this. And usually after I give my hair a beating with the flat iron…well, let’s be honest it can smell a bit burnt :( or just loses that yummy shampoo scent. I’m usually embarrassed by how large my hair can get, but sometimes, the amount of body is fun. Like I can flip it from side to side or y’know WHIP MY HAIR BACK N’ FORTH. Run my fingers through it, etc. It almost becomes an accessory. Growing up—and even now, I really wish I had straight hair. The kind that is manageable and predictable and dries in minutes (takes a good 2 hours to air dry my hair..maybe more?) The worst part is styling your hair and making it look like you actually didn’t just roll out of bed THEN you pass a mirror two hours later and see what your hair has become once it has dried (sometimesvery frightening). And, if I want to go out with it down, it has to be freshly washed—because if it was tied up during the day, there’s now way it’s going back down in a non-frizzy/non-tangled way.

ANYWAY, I can’t complain. I do however also wish that I had the kind of hair that could be cut into a short edgy look. (BUT I definitely don’t have the face shape to pull that off either, so it doesn’t matter.) 

If any followers have curly hair management tips—SEND ME A MESSAGE PLEASE. Let’s not even talk about the evolution of hair products I’ve used/tried over the years. Shudder. Let’s not talk about the crunchy, wet-looking gel phase I went through. not cute. These days, I don’t use any product—just garnier leave-in conditioner and a teensie bit of a shine serum/hair oil after it’s dry.
