I wonder how many Americans are living in China now…or what the increase in percentage has been in the last 5 years—because I’m sure it’s been huge.
I will return to China. I must. (Leaning towards Chengdu, then Beijing just because it’s already so familiar, then Shanghai, then Shenzhen, I could do Qingdao too)
But when? WHENNNNN? AND how? HOW?
I decided today that I definitely, definitely want to go back to school and get my master’s degree. Right now I’m leaning towards International Studies for a career in International Education/Study Abroad. But that isn’t fo sho. And while I’d like to go back to school right away to keep my brain in study mode, I’m pretty sure that I NEED to work for at least a year to take care of some student loans.
So, I’m thinkin’…return to my beloved China…teach for a year. Live frugally. Save some dollah dollah billz. And think seriously about where I want to study. I’ve heard great things about the International Studies program at SIT. If anyone has any recommendations, shoot ‘em my way. I’m all ears. Furthermore, if anyone has any advice about graduate school in general, I’d be interested in hearing about it.
But what is a master’s degree worth? Hmmmmm….Things to consider.
